Job Description Recruit, screen, hire, train, supervise, coach and discipline 11 Program Substitutes and 3 Program Directors at 3 Out of School Time (OST) locations with a K-6 component. Schedule Program Substitutes weekly, daily and as needed at early childhood and school age programs Communicate with Specialists and Program Directors to ensure KDHE ratios are met. Serve as point of contact for program patrons, partners and vendors. Monitor program expenses related to purchasing and staffing patterns to assure best use of financial resources. Analyze and adjust program operations to optimize efficiency and quality. Develop, assess and implement age-appropriate curriculum at individual program locations. Work cooperatively with management team to achieve continuity in program delivery. The first review of applications will be on December 19, 2025.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Recreation or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience in formal licensed OST K-6 Setting.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must have strong communication skills, time management, organizational skills, knowledge of needs and interests of school age children and computer skills.
  • Mature, honest, caring, responsible, trustworthy, ethical, good judgement and decision-making abilities.
  • Genuine commitment to providing high quality services to children and their families.
  • JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Education, Physical Education, Administration of Parks and Recreation, Early Childhood, Child Psychology, or relevant field.
  • 3 years JCPRD experience preferred.
