Johnson County Government is collaborating with Sunflower House-a children’s advocacy and abuse prevention center addressing abuse and neglect- seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our Children’s Services Program. The position is based at Sunflower House where the Clinician will work as part of a treatment team and provide trauma focused evidence-based clinical services to children. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other Human Services field.
- Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the master’s level in the area of focus.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level
- licensed as a Masters or Clinical Addiction Counselor by the Behavioral Health Sciences Regulatory Board with the State of Kansas
- experience in a community health setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments during intake, ongoing services, and crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement complex treatment and intervention plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families.
- Complete and submit clinical documentation, evaluating and documenting progress.
