Children's Activity Specialist
About The Position
Small Fish Big Fish Swim School is seeking an energetic, positive, and eager-to-grow Children’s Activity Specialist to join our team! This full-time role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys variety in their day, and is excited to grow professionally in a fun, supportive environment. Position Overview This role combines hands-on instruction with customer engagement and program support. The Children’s Activity Specialist will work across three core areas: Preschool Gymnastics Instruction – 15 hours/week Swim Instruction – 15 hours/week Front Desk & Program Planning Support – remaining hours
Requirements
- Passion for working with children
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the organization
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with children, swimming, gymnastics, or customer service is a plus (training provided)
Responsibilities
- Lead age-appropriate gymnastics activities for preschool-aged children
- Promote physical development, confidence, and fun in a safe environment
- Follow lesson plans while adapting to individual learning styles
- Teach swim lessons using Small Fish Big Fish Swim School curriculum
- Ensure water safety and positive learning experiences
- Communicate progress with parents and caregivers
- Greet families and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with scheduling, enrollment, and basic administrative tasks
- Support program planning, events, and daily operations
