About The Position

We are a vibrant and inclusive Unitarian Universalist Church seeking a caring and energetic Nursery Caregiver to provide a safe and engaging environment for our youngest community members (ages 6 months – 4 years). Requirements

• A kind, patient, responsible nature.
• Experience working with young children (professional or volunteer).
• Comfort working both indoors and outdoors when weather permits.
• Willingness to complete a Live Scan background check and Mandated Reporter Training (paid).
• Ability to align with and support the values of a progressive, liberal religious community.
• Experience working children is required.
• Must be willing to complete a Live Scan background check and Mandated Reporter Training (paid).
• Able to align in mission with a progressive, liberal religion.
• This position involves the care of children, position will be offered pending a Live Scan background check

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with children in a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate manner.
• Follow congregational safety policies while fostering a playful and caring environment.
• Use age-appropriate guidance techniques to support children's social and emotional development.
• Help prepare and clean up the nursery space before and after services.
