About The Position

Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Child Care Billing Specialist is responsible for billing duties related to Child Care, School Age and Day Camp programs including: registration, billing, posting and balancing of payments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Associates Degree in Administrative degree preferred
  • Customer service experience, Billing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, strength in planning, organizing, prioritizing and follow-through
  • Positive attitude, initiative, flexibility, dependability and ability to work and problem solve as a team player

  • Associates Degree in Administrative degree

Responsibilities

  • Follows the DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers and the Kettle Moraine YMCA Child Care/School Age/Day Camp Policies.
  • Controls and maintains billing records including recording payments and following past due policies.
  • Maintains all required paperwork for the program.
  • Processes the intake of new enrollment and registrations, completes schedule changes, monitors program set-up in Core and works to resolve any issues with Program Director(s).
  • Problem solves issues, concerns, incidents and reports to supervisor with possible solutions.
  • Communicates with parents, keeps all interactions positive and is sensitive to the feelings of children and parents whether through email, in person, or on the phone.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service working with families in our programs.
  • Attends trainings as approved by your supervisor.
  • Maintains professionalism in all aspects of the position.
  • Builds and maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants, volunteers, other staff, and the communities we serve.
  • Acts as a positive role model using the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Maintains visual appearance by wearing required staff apparel.
  • Attends all department meetings and required training that may be deemed necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
