Childcare Assistant - Weekends and Overnight
About The Position
Looking for flexible, rewarding work in childcare? Chambliss Center for Children is seeking Teacher Assistants to join our team on a part-time and as-needed basis. We provide 24/7/365 care for children up to age 12, and this role involves overnight shifts during the week and the occasional weekend days. Pay: Starts at $11/hour with a High School diploma and no prior child care experience; $13/hour with a CDA; $14.50 with an Associate's Degree. Rates increase with education and experience. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to pass a fingerprint background screening. Childcare experience required. Passion for working with children and families. Key Responsibilities: Oversees the care of children when on duty, overnight or weekends. Supervises assigned group of children indoors and outdoors. Maintains an orderly classroom. Maintains a positive and cooperative relationship with all staff, parents, and volunteers of the agency. Performs other duties assigned by the Lead Teacher and the Executive Director or Associate Directors of Extend Child Care.
