About The Position
This role is a casual-status position. Schedule commitments would be 4 weekday evenings and 2 weekend shifts per month. Requirements
- Minimum Certification or actively pursuing certification as childbirth educator through a nationally recognized organization. Certification must be obtained within 1 year.
- Acceptable certifications include Lamaze International (LCCE) – Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) - Professional Childbirth Educator Certification, Childbirth International (CBI) - Certified Childbirth Educator, Prepared Childbirth Educators (CCE) – Childbirth Educator, Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) – Certified Childbirth Educator
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Nice To Haves
- BA/BS Degree
- Registered Nurse RN
- 3 years’ recent experience in childbirth education
- CPR Instructor certification if teaching CPR
Responsibilities
- Teaches classes based on evidenced-based practice.
- Contributes to the development of OB education programs.
- Participates in marketing activities related to OB education and lactation services.
- Contributes to achievement of divisional and organization goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
