About The Position

At Trillium Family Services we are dedicated to helping children and adolescents navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges in a structured, supportive environment. Our residential treatment facility specializes in providing trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for youth aged 13-18. We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Graduate-Level Child Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Graduate-Level Child Therapist will provide direct clinical services to adolescents residing in our facility, including individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with youth in a residential setting and is either fully licensed or working toward clinical licensure.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensure or license-eligible in the state of [State] (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, etc.).
  • Experience working with adolescents in mental health or residential settings is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, adolescent development, and evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, TF-CBT).
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries with youth and families.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide regular individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions and support family involvement in the treatment process.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and direct care staff.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency and state guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and staff trainings.
