About The Position

The Family Counseling Center (FCC) provides confidential and professional counseling for children and their families. In addition to treating issues associated with foster care and adoption, licensed and license-eligible therapists treat a wide range of childhood issues including infant mental health, positive parenting, grief/loss, divorce issues, anger issues, ADD/ADHD, anxiety and school adjustment issues, among others. We are currently seeking a Child and Family Therapist who will be responsible for providing a variety of clinical interventions to the children in KID programs and, whenever possible, their families as well. Therapists offer individual therapy to child clients and sibling(s), group and family therapy, in addition to support and advocacy to parents/guardians/caretakers. Therapists also work within a multidisciplinary treatment team, and therapeutic services are conducted primarily in the community or in the program where the child is placed.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Family Therapy, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of experience and Florida Licensure preferred.
  • Must have a Valid Florida Driver's License with full-time access to a reliable vehicle (proof of vehicle insurance is required.)
