About The Position

Encompass is a mission-driven non-profit and recognized leader in early childhood education in Northeast Wisconsin. Their NAEYC-accredited programs are grounded in HighScope Curriculum and Conscious Discipline, with on-site supports that allow educators to focus on meaningful teaching and relationship-based care. The current opportunity is for a Teacher working with infants at the Ruth Helf Center in Green Bay.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required (Assistant Teachers)
  • Associate degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field (Lead Teachers)

Nice To Haves

  • Two non-credit early childhood courses completed preferred (Assistant Teachers)
  • Interest in early childhood education and a desire to continue learning and growing in the field (Assistant Teachers)
  • Bachelor’s degrees in unrelated fields are welcome to apply (Lead Teachers)
  • Classroom experience and understanding of developmentally appropriate, relationship-based practice preferred (Lead Teachers)

Responsibilities

  • Create nurturing, engaging learning environments that support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Implement the HighScope Curriculum through active learning, observation, and assessment
  • Use Conscious Discipline strategies to foster safe, respectful, and inclusive classrooms
  • Build strong partnerships with children and families
  • Maintain developmentally appropriate, high-quality learning environments
  • Collaborate with Center Directors, fellow educators, and advocates
  • Participate in ongoing professional growth
