Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Childcare Teacher to join their growing and thriving organization. This role offers an opportunity to provide customer service and effective engagement to the children and families served in the coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency, along with two years of higher education or an equivalent combination of higher education and/or work experience as a childcare teacher in a licensed childcare center.
  • If higher education is not in child development, course work will be required within 3 months of hire to include: "Introduction to the Child Care Profession", "Skills and Strategies of the Childcare Teacher."
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily developmentally appropriate programs for children.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive environment for growth and development.
  • Create tailored lesson plans and promote positive self-esteem.
  • Communicate effectively with families and facilitate parent conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing rules and oversee co-teachers and volunteers.
