Child Care Program Leader - Summer
About The Position

Minnetonka Community Education is on the lookout for enthusiastic, energetic superstars to join our Explorers summer program as a Child Care Program Leader. Bring your creativity, leadership skills, and passion for making a difference to one of the best school districts around! Your Role Will Include: Guiding and supervising children in grades K-5, ensuring safety and engagement in activities. Assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing engaging activities for participants. Providing classroom management and creating a positive learning environment. Maintaining accurate records related to children’s progress, attendance, and activities. Building and nurturing positive relationships with parents and guardians. Upholding a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with three months of relevant experience, OR A Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming) and three months of experience, OR An Associate’s degree (AA), two years of college in a related field, or an equivalent certificate with six months of relevant experience, OR An unrelated field of study with 2080 hours of OST work experience, six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming), and one year of experience.
- Evidence of successful experience working with children in a child care setting.
