Your Role Will Include:

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with three months of relevant experience, OR A Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming) and three months of experience, OR An Associate’s degree (AA), two years of college in a related field, or an equivalent certificate with six months of relevant experience, OR An unrelated field of study with 2080 hours of OST work experience, six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming), and one year of experience.
• Evidence of successful experience working with children in a child care setting.

Responsibilities

• Guiding and supervising children in grades K-5, ensuring safety and engagement in activities.
• Assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing engaging activities for participants.
• Providing classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
• Maintaining accurate records related to children’s progress, attendance, and activities.
• Building and nurturing positive relationships with parents and guardians.
• Upholding a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
