About The Position

This role is for a Child Care Cook, also referred to as a Food Specialist, responsible for overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. The individual must be able to adapt to menu changes and meet meal and snack schedules.   • Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility

Responsibilities

  • Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school's menu and budget, adhering to state and federal requirements.
  • Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff.
  • Distribute food to the classrooms.
  • Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
  • Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.

  • Pay $18.57-$19.29 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered
