About The Position

This role is more than just a daycare job; it's a journey of learning, growth, and thriving within a childcare center. The Child Care Cook, also known as a Food Specialist, is primarily responsible for the overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. This position requires the ability to adapt to menu changes and consistently meet meal and snack schedules.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school's menu and budget, adhering to state and federal requirements.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Distribute food to the classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
