About The Position

Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, supportive, friendly Child Care Aide! Crescent Academy is a school district that serves over 500 students in grade level PreK-11th. Students from all cultural backgrounds and all walks of life attend Crescent Academy. Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach to supporting the development of children in our care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in early childhood education or a related field are a plus.
• Previous experience in a child care setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily activities and curriculum designed to promote learning in a safe and supportive environment.
• Supervise and engage children in play, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
• Assist with meal and snack preparation, ensuring the adherence to dietary restrictions and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and surfaces regularly.
• Monitor children’s activities to ensure a safe play environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
