Child and Family Therapist (Licensed or Associate) - Benicia

The ConnectiveBenicia, CA
20d$31 - $118Onsite

About The Position

As a therapist at The Connective, you will provide weekly outpatient therapy sessions to a dedicated caseload of self-pay clients. While our practice serves individuals of all ages, we are specifically seeking a clinician with a passion for working primarily with young children (ages 5+), tweens, adolescents, and families. Our ideal candidate is eager to practice within a private/group practice model while actively engaging as a member of a holistic, multidisciplinary team. This individual values the opportunity to focus on delivering exceptional clinical care rather than managing the isolation and administrative burdens of independent practice. Please note that The Connective is not a private practice incubator for therapists looking to eventually establish their own independent practice. Our goal is to find practitioners who are committed to becoming an integral part of our wellness collective and growing with our team long-term.

Requirements

  • Licensed Therapists: Hold a valid and current license in the State of California (PsyD, PhD, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC).
  • Associate Therapists: Hold a valid and current BBS registration (AMFT or APCC only).
  • Have completed a minimum of 500 post-graduate supervised hours.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children (as young as 5 y.o), adolescents, and families in a clinical setting, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong ability to build rapport with clients, fostering engagement in the psychotherapy process.
  • Effective and professional communication skills when collaborating with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and external agencies to support a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of clinical practice, including timely and accurate documentation.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Consistent participation in clinical supervision and/or consultation groups.
  • Proficiency with modern technology, including Zoom, smartphones, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Dedicated to ongoing professional development, staying current with emerging research and therapeutic approaches.
