Requirements

Must be a Medical Doctor, Board-certified (or Board-eligible and working toward certification) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with current Texas License.
Must uphold the Code of Ethics of their professional licensing entity.
Must complete the minimum hours of continuing education to maintain professional license.
Must maintain good standing with professional licensing board.
Credentialed and privileged according to Legacy's standards and practices.
Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to all populations served.
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community and the general public.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.

Responsibilities

Perform assessments and provide treatment for patients in assigned clinics.
Maintain regularly scheduled hours and actively engage with patients.
Meet or exceed productivity requirements as set by leadership.
Develop and maintain clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols.
Provide availability by phone during and outside regular clinic hours as needed.
Assist in the review and development of patient educational materials.
Supervise healthcare students for educational purposes.
Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance.
Coordinate care with non-physician providers and Behavioral Health Coordinators.
Consult with colleagues and specialists as appropriate.
Participate in meetings, the Performance Improvement Program, and peer reviews.
Perform other duties as assigned.
