About The Position

At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee owned company seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO/President, the CTO will establish and execute our technology vision, drive innovation, and ensure our technical capabilities align with evolving DoD and IC mission requirements. This role provides strategic technical leadership and serves as our principal technical authority for identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies that address critical customer needs Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing and geolocation systems for the future!

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance required
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in technology leadership role within defense, intelligence community or national security sector
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in senior technical leadership positions (VP Engineering, Chief Architect, CTO or equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of IC or DoD customer technical and mission requirements
  • Understanding of IC or DoD technical standards, architectures, frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate technical concepts
  • Strategic thinker with ability to balance short-term execution and long-term vision
  • Prior service in IC or DoD strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with company mission and government customer needs
  • Cultivate customer relationships to maintain a deep understanding of customer mission challenges and technical priorities.
  • Communicate the company’s technical capabilities with senior government agency leadership
  • Identify emerging technologies and assess their applicability to defense missions
  • Direct corporate IRAD investments toward strategic, high-impact mission areas that differentiate our capabilities
  • Evaluate and pursue strategic partnerships with academia, commercial technology firms and other defense contractors
  • Assess technical feasibility and risk for new business opportunities
  • Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence across the engineering organization
  • Serve as primary technical advisor to CEO and Board of Directors
  • Protect and expand the company’s intellectual property portfolio
  • Maintain highest ethical standards and commitment to national security mission
