About The Position

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for leading LoadUp’s overall technology strategy, execution, and team. This is a high-impact role that requires a balance of visionary thinking, hands-on leadership, and cultural alignment with the company’s purpose. The CTO will oversee engineering, product management, data and analytics, IT/systems, and innovation efforts, ensuring that technology and data become primary drivers of revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10–15+ years of technology leadership, including 5+ years as a CTO or senior VP in a high-growth company.
  • Domain Expertise: Background in technology-enabled services, marketplaces, logistics, or similar industries; experience leading data and analytics strategy highly preferred.
  • Execution Track Record: Proven ability to deliver complex technology and data programs on time, with measurable impact on revenue, efficiency, or customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong understanding of how to apply emerging technologies and data science/AI to transform customer and partner experiences.
  • Leadership: Skilled at building high-performing teams, instilling process discipline, and fostering innovation.
  • Cultural Alignment: Fully embraces LoadUp’s mission and values; believes technology and data are both growth engines and means of serving a higher purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the long-term product, technology, and data strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
  • Translate business priorities into a clear and achievable product, technology, and analytics roadmap.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on how technology and data can unlock growth opportunities and create a competitive advantage.
  • Champion a data-driven culture, ensuring that decisions at all levels of the company are guided by reliable insights and predictive analytics.
  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering, product, and data organization that delivers on roadmap commitments with speed, quality, and accountability.
  • Implement best practices for agile development, quality assurance, data governance, and analytics lifecycle management.
  • Ensure LoadUp’s technology stack and data architecture remain modern, scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Oversee the collection, integration, and quality of data across systems, enabling accurate and timely reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Drive the development of business intelligence, customer analytics, and predictive models that improve operations and optimize marketing spend.
  • Anticipate and evaluate emerging technologies and data science methods that could shape the future of the industry.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance customer experiences, empower partners, and enable new business opportunities through data insights and personalization.
  • Balance innovation with pragmatism, ensuring technology and data investments generate measurable business outcomes.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering, product, and data science/analytics talent.
  • Create a culture of ownership, excellence, and innovation across the technology and data organization.
  • Ensure that all team members embrace LoadUp’s purpose and values in their daily work.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to align technology and analytics initiatives with growth strategies.
  • Provide transparency and accountability to the executive team regarding progress, risks, and resource needs, including data-driven performance metrics.
