About The Position

Cornerstone Bank is looking for a Chief Risk Officer to join our professional team. This position can be located at any Cornerstone Bank (ND/SD) location. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Risk Management Program ensuring the bank is operated in a safe and sound manner. This includes strategic, operational, financial, compliance, credit and technology risks. This includes ensuring the bank is in compliance with all banking laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures. This role serves on the bank's Executive Committee, Leadership Council, ALCO and Risk Committee and reports to the Board of Director's Audit & Risk Chairperson.

Requirements

Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills by holding teams accountable for results, fostering a culture of discipline, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals as outlined in the Traction framework
Thorough knowledge of banking & experience with Enterprise Risk Management
Critical thinking skills and ability to create vision and strategy
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance and 15+ years of banking experience and 10+ years of leading, coaching and mentoring people effectively through change, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job are required.
