About The Position

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) develops a vision and is responsible for all revenue-generating elements within the organization, including all sales functions, marketing, customer success, and partner strategy. The CRO has ultimate accountability for aligning and building strategic partnerships and applying cross-functional expertise to generate, maintain, and increase revenue. The CRO works with other executive team members to execute corporate strategic plans by expanding into new customer segments and partnerships. Ultimately, the CRO works closely with leaders, managers, and executives to ensure the organization achieves its revenue generation goals throughout the year across the company’s products and services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chief Revenue Officer or in a comparable senior revenue leadership role
  • Demonstrated track record of growing revenue through sales, new product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategy
  • Significant general management and P&L experience
  • Strong ability to craft and execute a comprehensive revenue and growth strategy

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze growth opportunities
  • Provide competitive analysis, strategies, and tactical recommendations
  • Maintain strong customer connectivity to ensure market needs are incorporated into product development and enhancement cycles
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product Management, and Marketing on pricing strategies and business models
  • Identify and resolve issues across marketing, sales, and account management functions
  • Create standardized outreach for current and prospective clients and coordinate execution across sales channels, client management, and marketing/communications
  • Develop growth strategies in partnership with the executive team and Board of Directors
  • Create accountability within the sales organization by defining performance metrics and aligning compensation and promotion decisions accordingly
  • Prospect and close relationships with key strategic clients
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting strategies as needed to support sustainable growth
  • Establish short-term performance objectives and long-term revenue strategy, including forecasting
  • Oversee strategies and processes across the full revenue cycle from customer acquisition through engagement and long-term success
  • Develop and implement robust sales management processes, including pipeline management, account planning, and proposal development
  • Oversee all channel and partner development efforts, including new sales channels, resellers, and strategic partners
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative customer research to provide strategic leadership on brand architecture and market positioning
