About The Position

Our Client, Tucson Plastic Surgery , continues to expand the care provided to include Glow Skin + Wellness, Alchemy Surgery Center, and Sonoran Dream Anesthesia. With expansion, this physician-owned and operated practice is ready to add a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to the leadership team. Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s required (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related), or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience; within a medical practice preferred
  • Skilled in cross-functional project leadership, change management, and process improvement
  • Experience and understanding of insurance and patient billing workflows, requirements, and best practices
  • Technologically savvy with knowledge of systems that improve the team and patient experiences
  • Energetic with the ability to motivate others and create excitement to achieve key milestones and goals
  • Flexible and adaptive, creative, fun, open and transparent, team-oriented, and solution-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Business Management & Growth Support smooth enterprise-wide operations
  • Develop SOPs and standardize practices that reinforce precision, consistency, and operational excellence
  • Act as the expert in practice management software, inventory systems, and operational workflows
  • Ensure credentialing and maintain a safe, compliant environment
  • Oversee marketing strategy, brand alignment, and growth initiatives, and produce monthly metrics reports to track leads and conversions
  • Maintain strong vendor and consultant relationships
  • Foster a culture rooted in compassion, professionalism, and authentic connection
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and team development with an emphasis on alignment, growth, and long-term fit
  • Build leadership capacity through coaching, mentorship, and structured communication rhythms (huddles, 1:1s, team meetings)
  • Support employee engagement and development
  • Ensure benefits, payroll, and people operations run smoothly, with a focus on staff wellbeing and retention
  • Oversee operational readiness, compliance, and financial performance across all entities
  • Enhance private pay and insurance workflows for accuracy, denial reduction, and patient clarity
  • Lead the execution of strategic and systems optimization initiatives
  • Lead budgeting, oversee revenue cycles, and lead monthly financial reviews
  • Ensure accurate receivables management, vendor review, and staffing alignment
  • Serve as liaison for accounting and legal matters
