About The Position

Job Summary: This executive management position is responsible for FULL operational and financial oversight of the Practice. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall clinical and business operations for the physician-owned medical group. Participates in the development and implementation of the practice’s mission, vision and values with owner’s mentality. Primary Job Responsibilities: Oversees the daily operations of the group practice. Assists Chief Executive Officer in developing and implementing the business plan along with the strategic plan. Manages complex vendor relationships including banking, insurance, professional organizations and public relations. Oversees operational expenses in Bill.com, including verifying invoices and payment submissions. Participates in development of strategic plans, governance structure and objectives for practice management. Participates, oversees, interprets and recommends changes to all clinical and business operational policies and procedures. Represents clinic and interacts with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and other professional and community groups. Participates in the evolution and refinement of quality improvement processes. Maintains compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements. Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high-quality patient care. Participates in recruitment and retention of professional and non-professional staff. Exhibits knowledge of the principles and practices of healthcare administration, fiscal management, revenue cycle management, human resource management, government regulations, compliance requirements and reimbursements. Exhibits knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to manage operations and ensure effective patient care. Leads, mentors, motivates, and develops the executive leadership team. Fosters a culture of professionalism, accountability, respect, and service. Provides on-going support and expertise to all management personnel, assisting them in establishing and meeting or exceeding all set goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for all the organic functions of the Company. Plays a leadership function in charting the Company’s course in business development and new business ventures.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of senior level healthcare leadership experience, preferably in an ambulatory services physician-owned practice.
  • Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work; delegating and achieving goals and objectives.
  • Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, interpreting, and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Skill in communicating and relationship-building.
  • Ability to effectively lead in a changing environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and integrate priorities and deadlines.
