The Chief of Staff role is a key factor in determining the success and effectiveness of the CEO by maximizing time efficiency, driving information flow and alignment, increasing decision quality, and coordinating execution of key business activities. The CoS serves as an ambassador for the CEO, both inside and outside of the organization, and is the standard bearer for vision and goals. While serving at the pleasure of the CEO, it is also critical that the CoS be transparent and honest about the state of the office, perception of CEO leadership and decision quality, and any areas of organizational or individual development. This feedback relationship is reciprocal as the CoS is dependent on the CEO for feedback and development for their own success in the role. An autonomous self-starter, the CoS also leverages relationship. influence, and collaboration to align the organization. Their integrity, compassion, and diligence create the equity required to lead effectively. Assumptions + Considerations The CoS will be a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, maintain an active presence on the senior leadership team, and represent the executive leadership of the office. In person 2+ days per week with frequent connection points with the CEO. Manage the Operations Teams.
