The COS provides essential operational leverage by owning the cadence of internal communication, meeting governance, and company-wide performance tracking, thereby driving organizational alignment and maximizing efficiency and operational excellence. This role is responsible for ensuring the operational strategy is effectively communicated, executed, and tracked across all business functions. Here is the type of work you will do: Strategic Operations & KPI Management: Oversee the collaborative process for defining, tracking, and reporting on Company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) related to operational and business unit performance. Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports to provide the executive team with a clear, real-time view of organizational health, focusing on execution and delivery metrics. Partner directly with department heads and operational leaders to identify operational roadblocks impacting cross-functional KPI achievement and implement effective solutions forward. Build strong cross-functional rapport to navigate the organization effectively, proactively gathering the context and information needed to keep the executive team informed and aligned without requiring direct oversight. Company-Wide Communication: Own the company-wide internal communication strategy and calendar related to operational performance, process changes, and organizational alignment. Plan, organize, and execute all-hands Town Halls and company meetings, structuring content around company goals, KPI performance, and operational priorities. Draft executive-level operational communications, presentations, and internal updates to ensure consistent, clear messaging from the executive and leadership team to the whole organization Building a centralized hub in Notion for company updates and developing segmented channels to ensure the right information reaches the right teams at the right time Executive, Board, & Operational Cadence: Direct the creation of Board-level communications, overseeing the synthesis of cross-functional updates and performing first-pass reviews to ensure consistency in tone, accuracy in data, and alignment with the company’s primary strategic objectives. Design and prepare the agendas for leadership meetings, operational reviews, and recurring leadership calls. Support informed and effective decision-making by tracking action items, documenting key operational decisions, and driving accountability post-meeting across functional teams. Work directly with the CEO to draft, finalize, and disseminate Board presentation materials and related reports ahead of scheduled meetings, ensuring executive-level quality and alignment with the company narrative. Operational Efficiency & Special Projects: Lead and execute highly sensitive, cross-functional special projects as the Executive’s primary operational owner, ensuring discretion and strategic alignment. Streamline operational processes and information flow between the executive and leadership team and the rest of the organization to increase execution speed and transparency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience, with significant time spent in an operational Strategy, Business Consulting, or Program/Project Management role, preferably within a fast-paced environment. Prior experience supporting executive-level or Board reporting is highly desired.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience drafting executive-level content and presenting operational strategy to large audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, govern high-level meetings, and drive accountability across operational teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPI dashboards, synthesize complex operational data into simple reports, and use metrics to drive executive decision-making.
  • Highly organized, proactive, politically astute, and possessing a high degree of discretion and integrity.
