About The Position

We are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CFO who will serve as a trusted advisor, integrator, and force multiplier for the Finance leadership team. This role ensures the CFO's priorities are executed with discipline and consistency, while providing the governance, operating rhythm, and cross-functional integration needed to deliver on a multi-year transformation agenda. Unlike the PMO (which drives enterprise program delivery) or the Transformation Program Manager (which executes day-to-day transformation milestones), the Chief of Staff focuses on strategic alignment, communication, and organizational effectiveness — enabling the CFO to lead at the right altitude across Finance and the broader enterprise.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in finance, consulting, or transformation leadership.
  • Proven experience as a Chief of Staff, strategy leader, or senior program leader in a complex enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of Finance functions (Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, ERP/FIS, PMO) and large-scale transformation.
  • Track record of influencing at the C-suite level and managing across multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to distill complexity for executive audiences.
  • Strong program management discipline with ability to track multiple initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice To Haves

  • advanced degree (MBA, CPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the CFO; anticipate needs, manage priorities, and ensure follow-through.
  • Drive alignment between CFO priorities and Finance leadership execution.
  • Support CFO in board, investor, and executive committee engagements.
  • Design and run the CFO's operating rhythm, including leadership team meetings, staff forums, QBRs, and offsites.
  • Partner with PMO and transformation leaders to ensure milestones and risks are surfaced and addressed.
  • Maintain the governance framework for Finance, ensuring accountability, unification, and transparency across functions.
  • Support Finance leadership in decision-making, communication, and cross-functional integration.
  • Partner with HR on organizational health, succession planning, and talent initiatives.
  • Manage critical strategic projects that fall outside the scope of existing functions.
  • Prepare CFO for key internal and external meetings (board, investors, executives, regulators).
  • Draft communications, presentations, and updates to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Serve as a bridge between the CFO and Finance leadership, ensuring clarity and accountability.
