About Bronson Behavioral Health Behavioral Health Acadia Healthcare is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide nursing leadership for our newly constructed 144-bed behavioral health hospital in St. Johns, Florida - just outside Jacksonville. Coastal Pines will be a modern, purpose-built facility and a cornerstone of behavioral health care in Northeast Florida, designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality psychiatric services in the region. The hospital will offer a full continuum of services including inpatient psychiatric care, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Your Impact As Chief Nursing Officer, you’ll be a key member of the hospital’s executive leadership team. You will: Drive nursing strategy and operational excellence. Mentor and develop clinical leaders across all units. Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and regulatory standards. Oversee budgets, staffing, and workforce planning. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Monitor outcomes and champion continuous improvement. Influence executive decisions and long-term planning. Requirements

  • Active RN License (Michigan or eligible for reciprocity).
  • Proven Nursing Leadership (CNO, DON, or equivalent).
  • Behavioral Health Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting (required).
  • Strategic & Operational Expertise with strong interpersonal skills.
  • BSN required; MSN or mental health nursing preferred.
  • 6+ years RN experience (10+ preferred).
  • 3+ years progressive nursing management.
  • 2+ years behavioral health RN experience in inpatient psychiatry.
