About The Position

CharterUP is hiring a senior operating role with direct responsibility for CharterUP’s marketing performance. The CMO will own the company’s marketing strategy and execution end to end, with accountability for demand generation, customer growth, and marketing efficiency. The role partners closely with executive leadership across Sales, Product, and Finance to ensure marketing is aligned to business outcomes and operating as a cohesive system. This is not a rebuild. The foundation is in place. The focus is on integration, discipline, and scaling what works.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading multi-channel marketing organizations in high-growth, data-driven environments
  • Track record of owning end-to-end growth systems, not just individual marketing functions
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing and customer acquisition, with demonstrated ability to manage and optimize significant budgets
  • Strong experience building or scaling lifecycle/CRM and retention programs that drive measurable revenue impact
  • Experience leading product marketing and go-to-market strategy for new products or platforms
  • High level of analytical rigor, with the ability to translate data into clear decisions, forecasts, and business outcomes
  • Credibility as a cross-functional partner to Sales, Product, and Finance, with a focus on alignment and execution
  • Ability to operate effectively in a scaling environment, bringing structure and discipline without slowing momentum
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent

Responsibilities

  • Own the Growth System
  • Build and operate a unified, end-to-end marketing engine that drives efficient acquisition, repeat usage, and measurable revenue
  • Establish clear operating rhythms, forecasting, and performance visibility across all marketing channels
  • Ensure marketing is tightly aligned to company-level growth, pipeline, and revenue goals
  • Lead Demand Generation & Performance Marketing
  • Own acquisition strategy and performance across paid channels
  • Allocate capital with discipline and ensure spend translates into measurable business outcomes
  • Drive continuous optimization across the funnel, from traffic to conversion
  • Build Retention & Lifecycle as a Revenue Lever
  • Develop lifecycle and CRM strategies that increase engagement, repeat bookings, and customer lifetime value
  • Turn customer data into actionable segmentation and predictable revenue programs
  • Drive Product Marketing & Go-to-Market
  • Define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy across CharterUP’s platform and emerging offerings
  • Ensure product innovation translates into adoption, revenue, and effective sales enablement
  • Shape Brand & Market Positioning
  • Evolve CharterUP’s brand to reflect its position as a technology-driven platform, not just a marketplace
  • Build consistent, differentiated narratives across customer segments and channels
  • Oversee Organic Growth & Authority
  • Maintain and strengthen organic channels as a durable source of demand
  • Ensure long-term authority, consistency, and performance across markets
  • Lead Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and RevOps to align strategy, execution, and measurement
  • Act as a core operator within the executive team, contributing to broader company decisions
  • Build and Lead the Organization
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing marketing team
  • Drive accountability, clarity of ownership, and strong execution standards across functions
