About The Position

Cantina is seeking a senior marketing leader to set and own the company’s marketing strategy, positioning, and go-to-market direction as we scale. This is an executive, strategic role focused on defining where we play, how we show up, and how marketing supports company growth You will serve as a close partner to the executive team, responsible for shaping narrative, positioning, and GTM priorities across the business. This is a critical role for a company operating at the intersection of cybersecurity and Web3, where credibility, accuracy, and clarity matter deeply.

Requirements

  • Senior Marketing leadership experience in cybersecurity, security services, infrastructure, or other trust-based, highly technical B2B offerings. Strong preference for Web2 cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience setting marketing strategy and GTM direction at growth-stage technology companies.
  • Proven success positioning a company as a category leader in a technical or emerging market.
  • Strong executive judgment and the ability to operate autonomously - setting direction, making decisions, and prioritizing effectively.
  • High standards for quality, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Experience leading, developing and empowering teams through clear direction and mentorship.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-moving environments with evolving products and markets.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with executive, technical, and commercial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Set Marketing Strategy & Executive Alignment: Define and evolve Cantina’s overall marketing strategy in close partnership with executive leadership, aligning positioning, GTM priorities, and growth initiatives with company objectives, product roadmap, and market dynamics.
  • Positioning, Narrative & Brand Authority: Own Cantina’s core messaging, positioning frameworks, and long-term narrative. Define the strategy for content, research, and external presence that establishes credibility and category leadership.
  • Product & Technical Partnership: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Security Research leadership to shape how complex technical offerings are positioned and brought to market with accuracy and trust.
  • Strategic Leadership & Quality Oversight: Provide strategic direction, prioritization, and quality oversight to the Marketing Director and team, while empowering them to manage day-to-day execution.
  • Demand & GTM Strategy: Set the strategic approach to demand generation, pipeline support, and ecosystem growth, with a strong emphasis on quality, ICP focus, and trust-based marketing.
  • Executive & External Communications: Advise leadership on external communications, announcements, and reputation management, particularly in high-stakes or sensitive situations.
  • Measurement & Accountability: Define success metrics, evaluate performance at a strategic level, and adjust direction based on results and market feedback.
