About The Position

Atlantic Federal Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to join our executive leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to lead enterprise-wide lending, insurance, and financial services production while shaping the future growth strategy of a high-performing, member-focused organization. As Chief Lending Officer, you will drive sustained loan production, portfolio expansion, and revenue diversification—particularly across commercial lending, real estate lending, insurance, and financial services. You will build and lead a results-driven sales culture, expand market presence, strengthen strategic partnerships, and ensure responsible, compliant growth aligned with Atlantic’s long-term vision.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in lending, financial services, or a closely related field
  • Proven success leading commercial and real estate lending teams with measurable production results
  • Strong strategic mindset with deep knowledge of sales management, pipeline analytics, and market expansion
  • Advanced leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong working knowledge of fair lending laws, regulatory requirements, and financial services best practices

Responsibilities

  • Set the growth agenda
  • Provide executive leadership over commercial lending, real estate lending, insurance, and financial services production.
  • Establish and execute ambitious yet sustainable production goals that drive portfolio growth, profitability, and diversification.
  • Partner closely with the EVP–Chief Growth Officer to design and deliver short- and long-term enterprise growth strategies.
  • Build a high-performing sales culture
  • Lead, inspire, and hold accountable multi-level teams across lending and financial services.
  • Drive excellence in pipeline development, forecasting discipline, conversion performance, and sales execution.
  • Develop benchmarks, dashboards, and performance metrics that promote transparency and accountability.
  • Expand market presence and relationships
  • Serve as a senior ambassador for Atlantic in the marketplace.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with developers, business owners, brokers, insurance partners, and centers of influence.
  • Identify and penetrate new markets, member segments, and revenue opportunities.
  • Balance growth with sound risk management
  • Ensure all production activities align with regulatory requirements, credit union policies, and safety-and-soundness expectations.
  • Monitor portfolio quality, concentration levels, and risk-adjusted returns while supporting responsible growth.
