About The Position

As PharmaLink continues to grow, technology is central to customer trust, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and competitive differentiation . The CIO is responsible for ensuring PharmaLink’s systems are not just operational, but strategic assets that enable growth, compliance, and enterprise partnerships. This role will directly shape how PharmaLink scales its platforms, improves data quality, integrates with customers, and executes complex initiatives with confidence and predictability. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at PharmaLink is responsible for defining and executing the company’s overall technology and information strategy to support business growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and enterprise customer enablement. This role provides executive leadership across application platforms, data, infrastructure, security, delivery governance, and IT operations. The CIO will be accountable for the reliability, scalability, and integrity of PharmaLink’s core systems, including Prophet®, Encore®, data platforms, and enterprise integrations. A key mandate of this role is improving data quality and trust, enabling large enterprise customer integrations, and professionalizing delivery and governance across the technology organization. Both Prophet and Encore are proprietary Inventory/CRM Software systems. This role balances strategic vision with hands-on leadership, ensuring that technology investments directly support PharmaLink’s business objectives while meeting regulatory, security, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles
  • Prior experience as a CIO, VP of IT, or equivalent senior technology executive
  • Strong background in enterprise application platforms, data systems, and integrations
  • Proven experience leading technology organizations in complex, regulated environments
  • Demonstrated ability to scale technology platforms to support business growth and enterprise customers
  • Deep understanding of data governance, reporting, and analytics
  • Strong executive communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes
  • Experience managing large budgets, portfolios, and vendor relationships
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field is required
  • Must pass background check and preemployment drug screenings
  • Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a diverse work force

Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy & Leadership Define and execute PharmaLink’s enterprise technology strategy aligned with business growth and customer needs Serve as the executive owner of PharmaLink’s application platforms, data ecosystem, infrastructure, and integrations Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team on technology investment, prioritization, and long-term planning Monitor development of commercially available AI tools and processes to identify opportunities to leverage within PharmaLink systems Translate business strategy into a clear, executable technology roadmap
  • Application & Platform Ownership Provide executive oversight for core platforms, including Prophet, Encore, and supporting systems Ensure platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and capable of supporting enterprise customers Drive modernization initiatives where needed to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability Ensure strong alignment between Product, Engineering, Data, and IT teams
  • Data, Analytics & Reporting Own PharmaLink’s data strategy, including data quality, governance, reporting, and analytics Ensure accuracy and consistency of internal and customer-facing reports Establish data standards, ownership, and accountability across the organization Enable scalable data platforms to support enterprise integrations, analytics, and regulatory reporting
  • Security, Risk & Compliance Own information security strategy, cybersecurity posture, and risk management Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and customer requirements Oversee security policies, incident response, audits, and third-party risk management Partner with legal, compliance, and quality teams to ensure alignment
  • Delivery Governance & Execution Establish strong delivery governance and execution discipline across the technology organization Oversee the PMO / Program Management function to ensure predictable delivery and transparency Ensure cross-functional initiatives are planned, prioritized, and executed effectively Provide executive visibility into delivery health, risks, and dependencies
  • IT Operations & Infrastructure Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations across corporate and operational environments Oversee infrastructure, cloud services, networking, and end-user computing Ensure strong disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience Balance cost optimization with performance, reliability, and scalability
  • People & Organization Leadership Build, lead, and develop a high-performing technology organization Define clear roles, responsibilities, and career paths across technology, data, and IT teams Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Partner with HR on talent strategy, hiring, retention, and succession planning
  • Vendor & Partner Management Manage relationships with key technology vendors, partners, and service providers Ensure vendor solutions align with PharmaLink’s architecture, security, and business needs Negotiate contracts and manage performance against SLAs
