Position Overview: Location: Missouri Baptist Medical Center, 3005 N Ballas Rd, 4th Floor, St. Louis, MO 63131 Department: Internal Medicine Residency Program Ideal Start Date: July 1, 2026 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/week | Light call schedule with phone only requirement Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate training sessions, including Residents' Reports, Core Curriculum Conferences, and Grand Rounds. Collaborate with the program director to oversee evaluations, schedules, and medical records. Mentor residents, participate in recruitment, and promote research opportunities. Staff the resident clinic three half-days a week and work closely with clinic leadership on curriculum development. Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the highest credential a health care organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient care. Role Purpose Participates in educational activities and provides services in the residency/clinical fellowship program as outlined in the Graduate Education Consortium Operating Principles.

Requirements

  • Doctorate - Medicine

  • BNDD - applicable state

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate training sessions, including Residents' Reports, Core Curriculum Conferences, and Grand Rounds.
  • Collaborate with the program director to oversee evaluations, schedules, and medical records.
  • Mentor residents, participate in recruitment, and promote research opportunities.
  • Staff the resident clinic three half-days a week and work closely with clinic leadership on curriculum development.
  • Provides clinical service commensurate with level of advancement and responsibilities and under appropriate supervision.
  • Performs clinical services only at sites specifically approved by the Program and, under circumstances, at locations covered by the professional liability insurance maintained for the resident by the Hospital or School of Medicine as appropriate.
  • Cooperates fully with the Program, School of Medicine and Hospital in coordinating and completing required documentation.
  • Develops and follows a personal program of self-study and professional growth under guidance of the Program's teaching faculty.
  • Maintains and schedules Core Curriculum, annual schedules, as well as scheduling of continuing medical education conferences for the hospital community.
  • Follows Consortium Operating Principles.
