Chief Growth Officer (CGO) at Provenance Wealth Advisors (PWA) is a key executive responsible for accelerating the firm’s growth trajectory and strengthening its position as a premier, full-service wealth management and financial planning firm. This role will provide strategic leadership across Sales Management, Investment Advisor Development, Practice Management, Marketing, Product & Platform Innovation. The CGO will design and execute growth strategies that drive revenue, expand market share, elevate the client experience, and enhance advisor productivity. This includes overseeing business development initiatives, identifying new revenue channels, optimizing product offerings, and ensuring tight alignment across advisory, investment, marketing, and operational functions. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CGO will work closely with the CEO, COO, Chief Investment Office, and other business leaders to develop long-term strategic plans and ensure the firm’s service model, technology, and offerings meet evolving client and advisor needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within an RIA, wealth management firm, broker-dealer, or financial services organization.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, leading sales teams, managing advisors, and overseeing product or platform strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of investment strategies, financial planning concepts, regulatory frameworks (RIA/SEC/FINRA), and the wealth management marketplace.
  • Licensing Requirements: Series 24, 7, 65
  • Proven experience implementing scalable processes, data-driven decision frameworks, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups.

Responsibilities

  • Sales, Business Development & Market Expansion Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel growth strategy aligned with PWA’s long-term vision and revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales and Business Development teams, establishing clear performance metrics, accountability systems, and incentive structures.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities including strategic partnerships, centers of influence (COIs), referral sources, and niche market expansion.
  • Build a scalable advisor recruitment strategy focused on attracting high-performing financial advisors and teams that align with PWA’s culture and service model.
  • Partner with Marketing to refine brand positioning, enhance lead generation initiatives, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Investment Advisor Leadership & Practice Management Oversee the performance, coaching, and professional development of all Investment Advisors, ensuring consistent adherence to PWA’s client service standards and financial planning philosophy.
  • Implement advisor development programs that elevate productivity, client engagement, planning sophistication, and growth behaviors.
  • Provide leadership in practice management, helping advisors optimize their books of business, expand client relationships, and deepen wallet share.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Investment Office on portfolio strategies, investment communication, client education, and advisor tools that enhance value delivery.
  • Marketing & Product Strategy, Platform Innovation & Client Experience Lead the development and lifecycle management of financial products, wealth management solutions, and service offerings—including pricing, positioning, and competitive differentiation.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and client needs to drive innovation and ensure PWA remains competitive and future focused.
  • Oversee enhancements to technology & digital platforms including CRM systems, planning software, client portals, and portfolio management tools to support advisor efficiency and client experience.
  • Partner with Compliance and Operations to ensure all products and services remain aligned with regulatory requirements and operational best practices.
  • Public Relations Experience Leadership, Strategy, and Organizational Alignment Serve as a senior thought leader in shaping PWA’s strategic direction, long-range planning, and growth priorities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance across sales, advisory, marketing, operations, and investment teams.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives designed to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and support scalable growth.
  • Establish, track, and present key performance indicators (KPIs), business intelligence, and growth reporting to the CEO, Board, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Represent PWA at industry events, conferences, and professional networks to enhance brand presence and attract growth opportunities.
