About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is a key member of the senior management team and has direct responsibility for traditional finance and accounting functions (including accounting, budgeting, management reporting, and forecasting) The CFO will be a valued thought partner to the CEO and Board, and a material contributor to the continued evolution of the Company’s strategy.

Requirements

  • General Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, including proven success as a CFO, with deep expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and a strong track record of driving financial strategy, performance, and business partnering.
  • Technical Finance Acumen: Experience professionalizing finance organizations and processes / systems. Proven ability to support revenue growth while also increasing EBITDA margin. Experience with capital structure management and complex net working capital / cash flow dynamics.
  • Industry/Business Experience: Experience providing financial leadership to a global company with offshore operations and managing globally dispersed teams. Proven track record in the broader B2B services industry. Experience as CFO in a business of similar scale and complexity.
  • Scale / Growth: Current or prior experience in a $150M+ revenue company that achieved significant growth in revenue and profitability through a combination of organic expansion and inorganic initiatives such as M&A or strategic partnerships.
  • Private Equity Experience: Deep understanding of the dynamics and expectations of private equity-backed portfolio companies, including value creation, operational rigor, and investor reporting; experience leading a business through a successful exit (e.g., sale, IPO, recapitalization) is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Finance Vision and Growth Orientation: Proven ability to partner with CEO to create a clear and coherent strategy that anticipates the future direction of the industry, competition, and/or the broader environment.
  • Communication: Collaborative business partner focused on collective success of team. Strong communications skills, teamwork, and executive presence with demonstrated ability to up-level team.

  • The CFO must have an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or related field and preferably an advanced degree or MBA.
  • Began career at a Big 4 accounting firm (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partner:Serve as a strategic partner and financial advisor to the CEO, the Board of Directors, and members of the executive leadership team to help shape the overall direction for the company.
  • Operational Finance:Elevate finance infrastructure, including integrated processes, systems, and teams to enable growth and margin improvement. Collaborate with executive leaders to provide relevant and timely analysis, benchmarks, and business insights that inform business decisions and drive profitable growth.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):Partner with business leaders to develop operating plans and ensure successful execution. Develop and review financial forecasts to ensure business performance is in line with expectations. Develop and manage performance dashboards, including measures and metrics to monitor business.
  • Accounting and Internal Controls:Manage financial statement reviews monthly to ensure variance reporting and analysis of year to date and forecast performance against expectations. Measure financial performance of key initiatives. Oversee the preparation of audited financial statements.
  • Team Leadership:Recruit, develop, and motivate a highly effective worldwide finance team capable of working closely alongside corporate and business unit leadership teams to help drive results. Develop the next generation of finance talent for the organization. Work hard to build and develop cross-functional relationships as well.
  • Relationships with External Stakeholders:Develop and cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders including Board of Directors, banks, auditors, and others, as appropriate. Provide regular financial reporting to lenders. The CFO is an active participant in the corporate governance process and a significant contributor to Board meetings.
  • Capital Allocation:Build processes and frameworks to evaluate growth opportunities and maximize ROI driven capital allocation and establish and achieve financial goals that meet investor expectations.
  • Cost Optimization and Efficiency:Evaluate the current team structure and finance operations with a view to streamline and optimize. Implement processes that maximize cost efficiency and profitability, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively across the business.
