About The Position
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers (BMS) is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is an opportunity for a seasoned financial leader to help shape the financial future of a Federally Qualified Health Center serving one of Brooklyn’s most underserved communities. Reporting to the President & CEO , the CFO will lead financial strategy, strengthen fiscal infrastructure, and ensure long-term financial sustainability while supporting innovative, patient-centered healthcare delivery.
Requirements
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- 15+ years of financial leadership experience
- Experience in FQHC, nonprofit healthcare, or community health centers
- Expertise in Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement and federal grants
Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy and long-term planning
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, HRSA, and FQHC regulations
- Strengthen revenue cycle and reimbursement performance
- Manage federal grant financial oversight
- Develop and lead the finance team
