Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including Medicaid and Medicare audits.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Ability to manage a team of accountants
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and high level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive financial analyses of operations to guide management decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of major economic objectives and policies for the Center.
  • Prepare reports outlining the organization’s financial position based on historical, current, and projected operations.
  • Administer the organization’s budget throughout the fiscal year, ensuring disbursements align with approved budgets.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls for all financial procedures within the Center.
  • Review all tax returns and cost reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate the annual financial audit, including Medicaid and Medicare audits.
  • Review payroll changes to ensure compliance with the annual budget.
  • Sign and validate expense checks, ensuring proper authorization and accuracy.
  • Deliver up to date reports to CEO and Board members
  • Maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the Center
