About The Position
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and help lead a growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQIIC). This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting high-quality, accessible healthcare for underserved communities while driving financial strength and sustainability. As CFO, you will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board, providing financial leadership and oversight across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7-10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Healthcare finance experience required; FQHC experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of reimbursement, grants management, and financial compliance
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational performance
Nice To Haves
- CPA preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with HRSA, federal, and state requirements
- Oversee FQI IC funding, including Section 330 grants and PPS reimbursement
- Drive revenue cycle performance, including billing and accounts receivable
- Provide financial insights to support growth and strategic initiatives
- Lead audits, cost reporting, and financial risk management
- Directly oversee and develop a high-performing finance team, including: Accounts Receivable Department, Financial Manager, Accounts Payable Specialist, Financial Assistant
