The CFO directs the finance and accounting functions and is integral and vital to the success of the organization. The ideal CFO candidate must possess strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. The CFO must have an in-depth understanding of regulatory and accounting standards and principles and uphold the integrity of financial and compliance reporting. The CFO must demonstrate skills and leadership in management, financial operations, hospital operations, fiscal affairs, strategic financial planning, internal controls and compliance. Responsibilities The CFO must have the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and other data to meet the high standards of the hospital. This position will oversee various hospital departments in support of the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. The CFO will identify cost-effective systems needed to support the organization taking into account business trends and resource availability. The CFO will work collaboratively with other managers in meeting facility goals. The CFO is a member of the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for: Financial Management Activities: Financial Planning Budgeting & Forecasting Revenue Cycle Expense Management Financial Reporting Regulatory Reporting Capital Planning and Management Operational Responsibilities/Departments Business Office/Revenue Cycle Facilities, IT, Materials Management, and Case Management Communication Activities: Direct interaction with the Hospital Leadership Team, Governing Board, Executive Committee, staff, USPI & Tenet Senior Leaders
