About The Position

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, guiding business strategies through data-driven insights, and ensuring the overall financial health and growth of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with manufacturing ERP and payroll systems required (QAD and ADP preferred)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• CPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including payroll and accounts payable
• Prepare and publish monthly and annual financial statements
• Lead month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Develop and manage annual budgets and weekly forecasts
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations
• Manage and coordinate internal and external audits
• Track and manage capital and tooling projects
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to support business decisions
• Monitor vendor contracts and support negotiations
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Approve accounting decisions and financial strategies
• Authorize vendor payments and approve invoices
• Approve capital expenditures
