As Indigo Signs enters its next phase of growth, backed by private equity, and poised for continued operational transformation, we are seeking a hands-on, performance-driven Chief Financial Officer to elevate financial visibility, build scalable infrastructure, and drive disciplined value creation. The Opportunity The CFO at Indigo Signs is not a back-office executive—this is a strategic, operational, and highly visible leadership role. You will guide the company’s financial model, partner closely with the CEO and President/COO, drive PE-aligned performance initiatives, and build a finance function capable of supporting accelerated growth, both organic and through acquisition. You will oversee finance, accounting, HR, and investor reporting—bringing clarity, structure, and strategic insight to every aspect of the business. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required)
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership
  • 5+ years as CFO or senior finance leader in PE-backed manufacturing
  • Proven track record of EBITDA improvement
  • Multi-site operational finance experience
  • Advanced Excel modeling expertise (must be hands-on)
  • Expert-level QuickBooks experience (multi-entity accuracy & reporting)
  • Strong PowerPoint and board communication skills
  • Experience managing PE, lender, and investor relationships

  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary financial liaison to PE sponsors
  • Execute the value-creation plan alongside the CEO/President
  • Drive EBITDA expansion through margin and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Develop bi-monthly investor reporting packages
  • Build quarterly board materials with investor-ready clarity
  • Translate operational data into clear financial insights
  • Present performance drivers, risk analyses, and strategic recommendations
  • Communicate KPIs, working capital shifts, cash flow, and capex ROI with precision
  • Develop multi-scenario financial models
  • Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Build M&A models and synergy analyses for add-on acquisitions
  • Create all models independently—this role requires deep Excel mastery
  • Extract and optimize job cost visibility across all manufacturing sites
  • Drive margin accountability by department and location
  • Align weekly operational KPIs with financial interpretation
  • Improve billing, collections, A/R aging, and cash performance
  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Build and enhance dashboards, reporting tools, and ERP insights
  • Transform data into actionable recommendations—not just reports
  • Manage lender relationships, banking facilities, and capital structure
  • Lead diligence, modeling, and integration for acquisitions
  • Establish financial controls and reporting for new entities
  • Track post-close performance vs. underwriting case
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness
  • Strengthen internal control framework
  • Oversee insurance, risk, and OSHA-related financial exposure
  • Oversee HR, ensuring people strategy aligns with financial objectives
  • Lead compensation strategy, benefits oversight, and incentive plan design
  • Support talent development and succession planning
  • Maintain payroll accuracy and labor cost forecasting
