About The Position

We are seeking a mission-driven and operationally strong Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a residential treatment facility focused on serving individuals with substance use disorders. Position Summary The CEO will serve as the facility’s highest-ranking leader, responsible for overseeing strategy, operations, census growth, team performance, and regulatory compliance. This role demands strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and a relentless commitment to quality and accountability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility in a healthcare setting
  • Proven track record in census growth, regulatory compliance, and team leadership
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical documentation and medical necessity
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or directing marketing and admissions strategies
  • Plus one of the following:
  • 3+ years leading in a residential behavioral health setting
  • 5+ years in a non-behavioral residential care environment
  • 3+ years in multi-site behavioral outpatient operations
  • 3+ years leading a distinct inpatient hospital or acute care facility

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including P&L performance, patient census, regulatory adherence, staffing, and culture.
  • Directly manage departmental leadership and ensure organizational alignment on core objectives.
  • Support and lead marketing and admissions strategy to maintain and grow census.
  • Drive employee engagement, accountability, and leadership development across all departments.
  • Build a culture of clinical integrity, excellence, and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies (e.g., Joint Commission, state-level health authorities).
  • Monitor and improve patient experience, retention, discharge planning, and aftercare coordination.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for urgent facility matters or delegate accordingly.
  • Lead by example in all matters related to communication, culture, operations, and care standards.
