About The Position

The Hilton Garden Inn by Hilton Mobile East Bay Daphne is seeking an experienced Hotel Chief Engineer or Hotel Maintenance to lead property maintenance operations and ensure all building systems, guest rooms, and public spaces are safe, functional, and well maintained. This is a hands-on leadership role within a Marriott extended-stay hotel, offering strong benefits, career growth, and long-term stability.

Requirements

Hotel maintenance or facilities engineering experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems efficiently
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Nice To Haves

Chief Engineer or supervisory maintenance experience
Marriott brand experience
HVAC, Electrical, or OSHA certifications
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and vendor management

Responsibilities

Oversee daily maintenance operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Perform and supervise preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems
Respond to emergency maintenance issues (power, plumbing, HVAC) to minimize guest impact
Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and local building codes
Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance documentation
Manage energy usage and implement efficiency initiatives
Maintain maintenance budgets and coordinate vendor services
Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and expense records
Support renovations, capital projects, and equipment upgrades
