About The Position

We are seeking a visionary Chief Architect to build and lead our enterprise-wide architecture function. This is a unique opportunity to design the technology blueprint for a global platform that processes millions of mission-critical transactions daily. As the most senior architecture leader, you will establish the standards, frameworks, and practices that will scale our business into its next phase of growth. This role requires strong hands-on execution. You’ll partner with executives, product leaders, and engineering teams to ensure architecture isn’t just theory — it’s the foundation of high-performing, resilient, and secure systems that power our business. Success in This Role Looks Like A clear enterprise architecture framework adopted company-wide within 12–18 months. Architecture governance embedded in delivery teams, balancing speed with quality. Systems and platforms that scale reliably and securely as the company grows. A recognized, high-performing architecture team trusted across executives, product, and engineering. Technology investment decisions consistently informed by architectural clarity and foresight.

Requirements

  • 15–20+ years of experience in technology and architecture leadership, with at least 5 years as a Chief Architect in similar size organizations.
  • Background in platform, payments, fintech, e-commerce, or other high-transaction, high-availability industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of establishing architecture functions in organizations without existing standards.
  • Deep expertise across enterprise, solution, application, data, and security architectures.
  • Mastery of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills — able to educate, influence, and inspire at all levels.
  • Strong change management experience: capable of building frameworks, gaining buy-in, and embedding practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in platform or marketplace companies (e.g., Uber, Airbnb, DoorDash).

  • Knowledge of app performance, monitoring, and governance models in global-scale environments.
