The Chemline Technician IV performs advanced cleaning, processing, and inspection activities to support laboratory and cleanroom operations with minimal supervision. This role executes complex chemical cleaning, prepares tank chemistries, verifies documentation, and approves test data and travelers to ensure quality compliance. It leads assigned cleaning lines, supports R&D and first‑article processing, and identifies quality or process deviations. The technician maintains safe handling of hazardous chemicals, contributes to process improvements, and ensures consistent, high‑standard production readiness.

  • Must be able to obtain respirator certification before employment.

  • Ability to take SPC measurements and log data.
  • Normally requires a HS Diploma 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • Requires aptitude, and a substantial understanding of all cleanroom processes.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge/aptitude, and basic understanding of cleanroom packing
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word, and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced cleaning, packing, and maintenance activities.
  • Extensive chemical cleaning and stripping activities
  • Delegation and assignment of work activities
  • Signing off on Certificate of Analysis and test data and approving travelers.
  • May perform receiving, processing, wiping, scrubbing, masking, chemical processing, machine operating, etching, blasting, coating, drying, baking, and other processes, as needed.
  • Responsible for incoming, in-process and final inspection of parts.
  • Able to work independently and perform all processes and activities related to the assigned product line.
  • Participation in Quality Assurance program, safety program and completion of various training courses.
  • Identify the occurrence of departures from the quality system.
  • Act as a “Lead” technician for the assigned cleaning line(s), provide assistance to the R&D group for specialized cleaning activities, and assignment to the cleaning of 1 st Article products.
  • Safe use and disposition of hazardous chemicals for cleaning.
  • May provide assistance in process improvement activities.
  • On occasion, may deliver parts to customers using company delivery vehicle.
  • Learn and understand a variety of tank chemistries.
  • Follow the chemical recipe to prepare chemistry tanks.
  • Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through the practice of safe work habits and 6S.
  • Ability to take SPC measurements and log data.
