This entry-level role performs hands-on application testing and analytical characterization under the guidance of Senior Chemists and Technical Specialists. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Laboratory experience with polymers, organics, coatings, adhesives, or related industries.
  • Strong hands-on laboratory skills with attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct application and performance testing of polymer dispersions, customer products, and coated films.
  • Perform routine analytical and physical characterization (e.g., viscosity, Rheological, particle size, pH, surface tension, and film testing).
  • Document, analyze, and summarize test results for technical service and product evaluations
  • Support products entering the commercialization phase of development.
  • Maintain compliance with EH&S, Responsible Care, ISO, and laboratory SOPs.
  • Verify instrument calibrations and support routine equipment maintenance.
