About The Position

Carroll College invites applications for a non-tenure track Instructor of Chemistry position beginning August 2026. This is a two-year term appointment with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs and candidate performance. The college encourages applicants with backgrounds in Biochemistry to apply. The successful candidate will teach 12 to 15 contact hours per semester. Primary teaching responsibilities include Biochemistry I laboratories and Essentials of Chemistry I and II lectures, which cover general, organic, and biochemistry topics tailored for nursing majors. Additional teaching assignments will be determined by the candidate's expertise and interests and may involve lectures and labs in the first-year general chemistry sequence, organic chemistry labs, or biology courses at both introductory and upper-division levels. Depending on qualifications, responsibilities may also include instrument maintenance in lieu of some teaching duties. Carroll College is a leading private, liberal arts college in the American West. Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
