About The Position
Entry-level position in the Chemill Department. This role supports chemical milling operations and may lead to advancement opportunities such as Chemill Operator or other forge operator roles within the department.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift 40pounds throughout the shift.
- Ability to read production instructions in English.
Responsibilities
- Assist with chemical milling preparation, including part identification, tagging, and handling.
- Count, inspect, and prepare metal parts before and after chemill processing.
- Clean and maintain work areas, tanks, racks, and equipment.
- Load and unload parts into chemical baths, rinse tanks, and etching stations according to safety procedures.
- Monitor process flow and communicate abnormalities to operators or supervisors.
- Perform light grinding, masking, or de-masking as needed for part preparation.
- Safely operate basic support equipment such as hoists, wash stations, and drying units.
- Assist in maintaining chemical bath levels and ensuring proper labeling of chemicals.
- Follow all hazardous material handling and PPE requirements in the chemill area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
