About The Position

At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 27 distribution facilities across 20 states, we're seeking a dedicated Chemical Worker- Blender professional to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the Unit Manager, this role will be responsible for producing chemical products by processing various raw materials to meet customer specifications, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Forklift Certified preferred.
  • And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or video presentation.
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Combine raw materials and operate manufacturing equipment to produce products that meet customer and quality standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance, including tank volumes and temperatures, throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform quality control tasks by taking samples, analyzing results, and adjusting blends as needed to meet specifications.
  • Calculate batch sizes and maintain accurate records of manufacturing data.
  • Load trucks, ensuring tanks are empty and clean prior to loading.
  • Verify proper placement of material placards in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Fill and label drums and totes for shipment.
  • Check tank levels before unloading and loading trucks to ensure safe handling.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Generate, handle, and/or inspect hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage.
  • Respond or manage hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site’s emergency action or contingency plan.
  • Prepare and manage hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
