Requirements

  • Familiarity with chemical handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
  • Knowledge of EH&S regulations and chemical safety principles.
  • High school diploma or Associate degree with good knowledge in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in chemical inventory and laboratory operations.
  • US citizenship due to access restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, real‑time records of all chemicals, including quantities, locations, users, and expiration dates.
  • Forecast chemical demand with lab users and set min/max and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Process purchase requests/requisitions, manage vendor relationships and lead times, and track shipment status.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal chemical inquiries and distributions.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure proper labeling and handling of chemicals.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and labs to uphold safety standards.
  • Support emergency response planning for chemical spills or incidents.
  • Monitor hazardous material storage, waste accumulation and disposal.
  • Other cleanroom and lab duties may be assigned.
